Getting Results
#1. Customized Solutions
Runtime has a 12-year track-record of meeting the product and service needs of managers for a variety of industries, including these six that succeed in highly-competitive markets:

Columbia Graduate School of Business Administration
Columbia Law School
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
JPMChase
Merrill Lynch
United States Golf Association

Some of the specific needs we meet are:

Admissions
Columbia Business School developed their Admissions application together with RunTime as a custom module for the Columbia Business School Content Management System with the RunTime RTSB platform and Content Management System. In order to avoid filling out a huge application up front, the software walks prospective students through the stages of application process, soliciting the information at every step of the way. The first stage is subscribing to the school's email newsletter by providing the prospective student's name and email address. Then prospective students are invited to fill out a short profile and create an account. With this account, students have the ability to access a "To-do List" that walks them through the actual application process. Some items are checked out manually as prospective student completes them, some are handled automatically to indicate that a step was processed by Columbia Business School. By using the RTSB platform and Content Management System, the confusing and complicated admissions process has now become clear and simple for prospective students.

Event Planning
The United States Golf Association's eClubHouse uses RunTime's customizable  Event Management application to accommodate the needs of golfers and golf tournaments. The application integrates with USGA's Tournament Pairing Program (TPP), which provides back-end processing functionality that is specific to golf tournaments.

Columbia Graduate School of Business has integrated RunTime's Event Management System with their Room Scheduling application which allows users to request a room when creating an event. Additionally Columbia's business requirements lead to the customization of Event Management System (EMS) to properly handle external and internal event requests and approvals.

Financial-Transaction Management
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) uses RunTime's e-Commerce Management to implement a shopping cart. This cart allows employers to purchase access to the comprehensive reporting tool that queries IEEE Members Salary Survey results.

United States Golf Association eClubHouse uses RunTime's financial transaction management for member due payments and event/tournaments reservations. Member due payments include a sophisticated, but very simple to manage, seasonal dues interface including automatic credit card payments. The ability to handle off line transactions using cash or checks is also available. Accounting reporting tools are available to club administrators. This allows the administrators to view various data with a click of a mouse, including but not limited to seasonal membership billing and event/tournament payments.

Focus Sites
Itochu is a Fortune 500 company, and is the fourth largest Japanese Trading company. RunTime implemented an intranet for various Itochu subdivisions using our Focus Sites module. Focus sites allow administrators to share data and build a number of separate sites that work from a single application. This approach significantly simplified management requirements for the application and let to significant cost savings.

Itochu International, Inc. has utilized RunTime Site Builder to create their corporate website.

Membership Retention and Acquisition
The United States Golf Association's utilization of  Membership and Event Management applications have lead to a significant increase in retention and new members for some clubs participating in the eClubHouse program. The administrators management load is decreased by automating various tedious tasks that allow them to concentrate on other important aspects of their job. The members ability to manage their profiles, pay dues, keep track of their scores and find out about events online has also made the Membership and Event Management application very useful and convenient.

News and Information
Columbia Law School publishes a majority of information on their web site using RunTime's Content Management System. Currently the site has more then 3,000 pages, 9,000 files and 11,000 content items. Keeping all this information organized, editable and easily accessible is critical. RunTime implemented a set of custom work-flow procedures that accommodate the school's data flow.

United States Golf Association eClubHouse supports a hierarchical structure for its news and events. USGA news automatically appears on all clubs. State association news appear on the clubs belonging to the association and club news appears only for the club they are published on. It allows for instant and highly targeted communication.

Targeted Email Broadcast
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) uses RunTime's Email Broadcast to communicate to its members. One of its uses is to invite members to the annual Salary Survey. More then 120,000 emails are sent in this particular email campaign. Emails are tracked and vital statistics are collected to determine email campaign response and effectiveness.

Survey
RunTime built for IEEE-USA a web application for their salary and fringe benefit survey service, which is used by members of IEEE-USA and organizations that employ its members. This application allows IEEE-USA to conduct, collect, analyze, and distribute a salary and fringe benefit survey of IEEE members in the United States.
#2. Meeting Unmet Needs
The first step in Runtime’s “Intelligent Technology” approach is interviewing both internal and external customers to quantify what is missing or less than satisfactory. The Conclusions of this interview are then incorporated into the product specification. Post-installation interviews are conducted to quantify whether satisfaction standards are met, or pinpoint further requirements.

Our work with Merrill Lynch’s Prime Brokerage and Money Manager business units typifies the value of rigorous evaluation of customer requirements to optimize the delivery of product and services specifications.
#3. Maximizing Your Existing Resources
The second stage of RunTime’s “Intelligent Technology” provides consultation on how best to execute those product and service specifications. The objective always is to supplement the client's existing technology resources and professionals. This approach is reflected in the third stage of “Intelligent Technology”. Depending on existing client resources, RunTime may do some, all, or none of the actual product development.

Furthermore, RunTime's technology platform - RunTime Site Builder - is flexible enough to fit with nearly all legacy systems.

#4. Easy To Use
No HTML or any other technical knowledge is required to operate the applications RunTime builds. WYSIWYG editors, wizards, friendly, modern and attractive interfaces result in great usability.

Columbia Law professors and applicants to the MBA program at Columbia Business are typical of the non-technologists who use the applications we build for them on RT Site Builder every day, without prior training or recourse to in-house resources.
#5. Continuous Improvement
RunTime employs a third-party executive research firm to conduct quarterly surveys of senior managers to determine the product and service requirements of associations, educational institutions and financial services firms. We share the results of these sector-wide analyses with our clients, providing them with the opportunity to be early adaptors, the first to meet the new needs of current and prospective customers.

RunTime also provides a full range of recurring services, including Hosting, Maintenance and Upgrades.
